O'KEEFE, Edward Patrick "Ed"
Age 92, passed away on January 30, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital. Born January 26, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York to his parents, Daniel and Rose O'Keefe. Ed resided in Riverside, Ohio with His beloved wife, Betty Jones O'Keefe for more than fifty years. He joined the Army Air Corps. in 1942 at the age of 18 and served in both WW II and the Korean War. Ed eventually retired from the Air Force as a Senior Master Sargent but continued his extensive tenure with the Foreign Technology Division at WPAFB as a Civilian employee for more years and later as a contractor before final retirement.
Ed is survived by his wife Betty and 3 daughters, Donna Sullivan (Bill), JoAnn Linder (Mark), Suzanne O'Keefe Nordstrom, and daughter-in-law Nancy O'Keefe; grandchildren: Angela Salisbury, Becky (Matt) Shawver, Bruce (Katie) Sullivan, Lianna (Rob) McKinney, Adam Linder and fiancé Jessica Evanski, Amy Linder, Sarah (Brandon) Padgett, Benjamin Nordstrom, Kelly (Aaron) Sexton, Taylor (Tom) Kreitz, Shannon O'Keefe and Eric O'Keefe. He also had many amazing great-grandchildren.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel & Rose, both of his brothers, Jack & Tommy, and his half- brother Buddy. He was also preceded by his precious son & daughter; Edward Ronald O'Keefe and Linda Lee O'Keefe. "Thank-You" to his neighbors, friends and doctors who were so helpful these past years.
Services will be held Wednesday February 3rd at Newcomer Funeral Home at 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation is 9-10:30am and Service to follow at 10:30am with Bruce Sullivan officiating and Bill Sullivan, graveside. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
