SMITH, Edna M. age 78, of Beavercreek passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Edwards; father, Edgar Edwards; daughter, Catherine Smith Woodyard; and faithful companion, Peppi.
She is survived by her son, John Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and John Summerlot; grandchildren, Christy Hemberger, Michael and David Summerlot, and Mark Gooch; great-grandchild, Michael Teegarden; sister, Marcella Kelly; numerous nieces and nephews; and loving friend, Tom Howard.
Upon retirement from General Motors, she enjoyed the company of her family, friends, and her loving dog, Peppi; and was an avid gardener.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 12:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton.
