Edith Lockhart

Edith Lockhart, born on March 29, 1940, passed away on February 23, 2026.

Edith is survived by her children, Sherry (Tim) Philbeck, Albert Lockhart, and Thomas Lockhart. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Robert (Amy) Philbeck, Brad Philbeck, Nicholas (Jessica) Philbeck, Thomas (Amber) Philbeck, Edith Philbeck, Timothy (Jennifer) Philbeck, April (Derrell) Henderson, Albert Lockhart III, Aaron Lockhart, Chad Lockhart, Thomas Lockhart Jr, Ryan Lockhart, and Shawn Lockhart, and Alyssa Lockhart.

Edith also leaves behind her sisters, Carol Plessenger, Vina Martin, and Mary (Kenneth) Adkins, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Bessie Roach; her husband, Albert Lockhart; her daughter, Cheryl Lockhart; her grandson, Chris Lockhart; and her brothers, Johnny Roach, Lonnie Roach, and Tommy Roach.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 5 pm - 7 pm at Newcomer, North Dayton Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 1:30 pm at Newcomer, North Dayton Chapel. Internment will be held at Dayton Memorial Park.
