Edgel Willeson Blair Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on May 27, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love and wisdom that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Born on January 6, 1964, in Seattle, Washington, Edgel's vibrant spirit and passion for life were evident from a young age, an enduring trait that he carried throughout his life.

With a personality that was strongly opinionated yet generously infused with a huge heart, Edgel was a beacon of support to his family and friends. His willingness to help anyone in need was matched only by his love for fun and adventure. Whether it was riding his Harley, attending races at the 99 Speedway, or enjoying the thrill of NASCAR and Sprint Cars, Edgel embraced life with an enthusiasm that was contagious.

His dear memories—such as riding to Reno, NV, for Street Vibrations, or making trips to Mickey's Grove with Holly and Ed to savor his favorite KFC BBQ chicken wings—paint a picture of a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. These moments were not just experiences; they were testaments to the loving relationships he nurtured.

Edgel's incredible knowledge made him a hero in his own right. He was the go-to person for answers, a true mentor for his family, always guiding them through life's challenges with unwavering love and support. His greatest accomplishment was undoubtedly his family, especially his cherished grandchildren: Madison, Joshua, Aria, Carson, Mya, Jaxson, Lilly, Wyatt, Tyler, Josh, Emma, Dianna, and Lincoln. To them, he was more than just a grandfather; he was a source of encouragement and strength, their personal hero who believed intently in them.

In addition to his children—April Boyer, Holly Blair, Edgel Blair III, Ashley Agnew, and Amanda Spears—and his brother, David Blair, Edgel joins a host of loved ones in eternity, including his parents, Edgel and Kay Blair, and his sister, Loretta Werkheiser. Their presence will forever be felt in the stories and memories that continue to surround him.
