In Loving Memory of Dwayne Eric Gross

With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Dwayne Eric Gross on Father’s Day, June 15, 2025, at the age of 57. A beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, Dwayne left this world far too soon, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Dwayne was born on June 27, 1967, in Dayton, Ohio, to Peggy Jo (Davis) Gross and William “Bill” Gross. A proud graduate of Belmont High School’s Class of 1986, he earned honors and carried himself with humility and quiet strength throughout his life. Rooted in his Christian faith, Dwayne lived a life guided by compassion, integrity, and love for family.

Known for his kind heart, sharp wit, and gentle spirit, Dwayne had a natural ability to connect with others. His thoughtful and selfless nature shined brightest in his role as a devoted caregiver to his parents, whom he lovingly supported as their health declined.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” Gross and Peggy Jo Gross, as well as his cherished sister-in-law, Michelle Gross. Grandparents Arnold and Maggie Davis, Goldie Walters and his Aunt Maudie Mae Lawson.

He is survived by his loving sister Alisa Daly and brother-In-law Thomas Daly of Port St. Lucie, FL and his little brother Kevin Gross of Port St Lucie, FL. His nephew Alan Gross, Huber Heights, OH and Uncles Ronnie Davis and James Lipcomb Sr and Aunt Doris Lipscomb all of Huber Heights, OH. Numerous other family members including cousins.

He will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his willingness to help without hesitation, and his deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He believed in treating everyone with respect and equality. One of his greatest joys was playing pool, a pastime he treasured sharing with his father.

Those who knew Dwayne well understood that he valued his privacy. In accordance with his wishes, no public services will be held.
