Dwane Allen Link, a devoted family man and retired professional, peacefully passed away at home on March 8, 2026, with his grandson, Donnie, by his side. Born on August 24, 1936, in Dayton, Ohio, Dwane lived a life characterized by love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

Dwane had a fulfilling career with GM Inland Division, where he served as a painter and maintenance worker. He was known for his honest character and strong work ethic, traits that defined him throughout his personal and professional lives. His giving nature and willingness to lend a helping hand earned him the love and respect of many who knew him.

A man of varied interests, Dwane found joy in riding motorcycles and owning classic cars. He cherished the time spent outdoors and reveled in the company of his children and grandchildren. His passion for life extended to his love for animals, particularly his beloved dog, Penny, who was a constant companion by his side.

Dwane took great pride in his family and was particularly proud of raising his grandson, Donald Link, often serving as a father figure to his ex-wife's children, Angela, Shay and Chip Mantell. He is survived by his two sons, Thomas Link and Terrance (Marta) Link; his grandchildren, Donald Link, Josh Link, and Priscilla Link; and four great-grandchildren.

Though Dwane is preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Ruth Link, his daughter, Christina Louise Link, and his siblings—sisters Betty Lou and Effie Belle, and brother Thomas Link—he leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will endure in the hearts of countless family members and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Dwane will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville, Ohio.
