Douglas A. Staup, 27, of Dayton, passed away April 17, 2017. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 20, 1989 to Stanley and Dana (Clark) Staup.
Doug's struggles with life on this planet and his drug addiction is over. He is finally free. He has a host of ancestors helping him with the transition to his true home and so many of us left here that survive him, miss him and love him. This he knows.
Death strips away pretense. Ego shrinks in fear of the grief we feel, and in that way we are free to openly and without shame cry, remember, and cry some more. Finally, if we can do anything to stem this horrific rising of heroin deaths, Dear God, give us the strength to do it. Amen.
