Douglas Martin

Douglas "Doug" Martin, age 69, of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Born on December 30, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the cherished son of Lester and Lena Mae Martin (née Shope).

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Martin, Sr. and Lena Mae Martin, as well as his sisters-in-law, Cynthia Kay Martin and Rena Martin.

He is lovingly remembered by his soulmate, Deborah Bane; his sons, Doug Martin, Jr., Ryan, and Zach; his daughter, Desaree Eshelman; brothers Thomas, Lester, and George Martin; sister Kay Martin; sister-in-law Julie Martin; brother-in-law Robert Cheek; and many other family members and friends.

Doug proudly served his country as a United States Marine. Known for his kindness and his talent as a cook, he touched the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
