Douglas K. Montgomery

Douglas K. Montgomery, of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the age of 74.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Dorothy Montgomery; his sister, Sue Nesbitt; and his grandson, Carl Douglas Kleist.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Teresa Montgomery; his children, Anthony (Kim) Montgomery and their children, Braden and Kinsley; Amanda (Jeff) Kleist and their children, Abigail and Jayce; and Megan (Marcus) Cox and their children, Magnolia and Murphy. He is also survived by his brothers, Terry (Jan) Montgomery and Jeff (Erin) Montgomery, as well as many nieces and nephews, and dear friends who will deeply miss him.

Doug was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He loved working with his hands. He also loved designing and building things. He worked for Pella Windows until his retirement, where his dedication and skill earned the respect of everyone who knew him.

A man of service, Doug gave generously of his time to his community. He was a longtime volunteer and commissioner for Miamisburg youth baseball and softball, helping shape the lives of countless young athletes. He also volunteered with Miss Montgomery County and Miss Miami Valley pageants, the American Legion, and supported the Miamisburg Winter Guard.

Doug was an active member of the Miamisburg Church of Christ, where he served on the building committee and in the sports ministry. He accepted Christ into is heart and was baptized on November 4, 1979. He lived that faith daily through his kindness, humility, and service to others.

Doug’s life was marked by love, integrity, and generosity. He will be remembered for his laughter, his steady presence, and the countless lives he touched through his family, church, and community.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 17, from 3:00-6:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 6:00 PM, at Miamisburg Christian Church, 1146 East Central Avenue, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342.
