Douglas Eversole

August 11, 1943 — April 23, 2025

Miamisburg

Douglas Eversole, age 81, of Miamisburg, passed away on April 23, 2025, at Ohio’s Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born on August 11, 1943, in Miamisburg, Ohio, the son of the late Floyd Eversole and Arvilla (Kuhn) Cox.

In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his wife, Diana Eversole; his sister, Rochelle Hayes; his stepfather, Herman Cox; his mother-in-law, Virginia Hammer; his sister-in-law, Judi Hammer; and his brother-in-law, Don Crone.

Doug is survived by three children, Darin (Rachel) Eversole, Deena (Matt) Collins, and Denise (Nathan) Hinkle; ten grandchildren, Leah and Connor, Makayla, Ally, Ethan, Emily, Justin, Peter, Noah, Sydney, and Drew; two sisters, Julia Ann Crone and Bonita (Rob) Specht; and best friend, Judy Johnson. Doug is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

Doug was born in Miamisburg, graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1961, and lived almost his entire life in that community. Doug served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and then came home to start a long career as a machinist. He loved his work and all he was able to learn and accomplish, but he was most proud of his wife, his children, and his grandchildren, and his greatest accomplishment was to grow in faith with Diane and share Jesus with his children and grandchildren.

Doug was a devoted member of Miamisburg Christian Church for forty years. He served in many roles, enjoyed his Sunday morning class, and attended Sunday morning services as he continually strived to love and understand Jesus more. For several years, Doug volunteered at the Miamisburg Helping Hands Food Pantry, collecting food, organizing the pantry, and helping community members.

Doug’s goal was to live a simple life. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, but he also enjoyed spending time with friends in Miamisburg. He was part of several local organizations, spent time with his high school classmates, and attended many community concerts and events. He lived out his faith by always being willing to help others.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Miamisburg Christian Church or Ohio’s Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties in Doug’s memory.
