Douglas Edward "Doug" Burden, age 44, passed away on April 15, 2026, in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Born on January 1, 1982, Doug lived a life marked by quiet strength, a sharp sense of humor, and a deep love for the simple joys that defined him.
Doug was a man whom one might initially find reserved; he was quiet until he truly got to know someone, keeping his cards close to his chest. Yet beneath this quiet exterior lay a great sense of humor that could brighten any room and a stubborn determination that saw him through many challenges in life. Those who had the privilege of calling him friend knew him as someone loyal and genuine.
He found joy and solace in fixing watches, skillfully bringing timepieces back to life with patience and precision. His care extended to his car, which he enjoyed working on, treating it not just as a vehicle, but as a cherished project. Music also held a special place in Doug’s heart, serving as a soundtrack to his life’s moments and passions.
Doug is survived by those who loved him dearly. He was a proud father to his two loving children, Kaley Burden and Drevin Jordan; his father, Donald Burden; his companion Kimberly Wagner,; all of whom stood with him through life’s highs and lows. Adding to his family’s warmth was Bella, their cherished furbaby, whose companionship brought joy and comfort.
Doug’s mother, Sharon Burden, preceded him in death, leaving a lasting imprint on his life and his memory.
His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to either SICSA or Hospice of Dayton, links provided below.
