With profound sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Dorothy M. "Dottie" Miller, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. She was born on May 13, 1935 in Ridgeville, OH.
She worked for GM for many years eventually retiring.
Dottie will be remembered for solid work ethic, fierce independence, compassion for others and love for outdoors and fishing.
Her passion was collecting and selling antique and vintage glassware. She Loved the hunt and enjoyed the connection to others when selling her finds.
Over the years, Dottie and her brother Al traveled thousands of miles in multiple states collecting, and she was still selling at antique flea markets well in her 80s.
When she was still able, she looked forward to her get aways to Lathem, Ohio where she would stay in her camper and work on her property. She was teased that she would have made a good "pioneer woman"!
We will miss the way she was very free with her advice and opinions. Like most children, we did not always welcome it but have come to realize that she was usually right and always had our best interests at heart.
Dottie is survived by her Sons, Richard A. (Joyce) Miller, and Douglas E. Miller; Daughter, Doris M. (Mike) Jones; and Granddaughter, Ashley (Tom) Coleman. She is preceded in death by her Son, Phillip Miller and 5 siblings.
In memorial, contributions may be made to SOS Ministries, Equipping and Outreach Mission Center, Xenia, OH.
