Dorolyn June Sadowski

Dorolyn June Sadowski passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on July 22, 1953, in Elmira, New York, she will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, nurse, and a deeply creative woman whose care touched both her family and the many people she served.

Dorolyn earned her Associate’s Degree from Kettering College and went on to work as a Registered Nurse at Kettering Hospital - Main Campus. Nursing was a meaningful part of her life, reflecting the compassion and steady presence that those around her knew so well.

She was a longtime member of the Moraine Quilting Guild and found joy in quilting, cross stitching, needlepoint, and crocheting. Dorolyn was wonderfully creative and crafty, and she brought beauty into everyday life through the things she made and the care she gave. She loved animals, and her family holds fond memories of the many pets they shared over the years. She also had a true green thumb and was especially skilled at growing wildflowers and houseplants. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dennis Sadowski; her daughter, Dawn DeNise; her son, Devon Sadowski; her grandchild, Mira Sadowski; her sister, Marla Maybrook; her brother, Caily Carson and Beth Carson; her nephew, Ryan Maybrook and Corrie Maybrook; and her nephews Zachary Sadowski and Derek Sadowski, and her nieces, Rachelle (Jovan) Kijevcanin, Kelsey (Joseph) Lago, and Casey (Stephen Lopez) Carson. She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.

Dorolyn was preceded in death by her father, Harold Carson; her mother, Joan Carson; her step-father, Harold Bailey; her son-in-law, Christopher DeNise; and her parents-in-law, Louis and Ethel Sadowski.

Visitation will be held on October 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, Ohio 45439. A funeral service will be held there on October 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
