Dora Mae Phillips, (Kearns), of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away on June 6, 2026. Born on November 16, 1933, in Cedarville, Ohio to the late Arthur and Mable Kearns.
Dora Mae was known for her love of the outdoors and simple pleasures. Days spent camping, swimming, and taking walks were among her happiest. She enjoyed the peaceful comfort of her front porch swing and found delight in word search puzzles that kept her mind sharp. Her favorite television programs included those on the Hallmark Channel and NCIS, and she held a special fondness for the holiday classic movie "Home Alone" and the series "Sherlock." Christmas was her favorite holiday, a time she treasured deeply. Her most beloved travel destination was Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where she created many fond memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Phillips, whom she married on May 14, 1955; children, Charles Phillips Jr., Diana, Marilyn, Pam Kay and John William; as well as her siblings, Connie, Mary, Shirley, Kay, Jack, John, and Bill.
She is survived by daughters Connie, Cheryl, Kim and Tammy; grandchildren, Myra, Chris (Tina), Tonya (John), Jonathan, Maria (Jason), Todd (Lisa), Michael (Amanda), Andrew (Craig), Jennifer, Tosha (Randy), Cindy Mae, Jackie, Stacey (Albert), Shaun (Jimmy), Nikki and Jimmy (Tabby); great-grandchildren, Dora, Courtney (Luke), Caitlyn, Carlee (Zack), Jessica, Lilly (Payton), Austin (Emma), Jake Emerson, Bentley, Fayth, Jayson, Colton, Bryson, Gracie, Natlie, Harper, Patrick, Lucas, Kevin, Mackenzie, Andy, Joe, Nakaya, Austin, Hannah, Maranda, Tyler, Marah, Sonny, Emily, Katie, Cali, Kelley, Janes, Kayanna, Trenton, Miles, Jesse, Kenzee, Jake, Dylan (Hope), Brooklyn, Bryson, Naomi, Raylynn, Blake (Becca), Logan, Jamie, Gavin (Makayla), Ava, Piper, Stormi, Raynie and Geneva; great-great-grandchildren, Kurt, Odessa, Robin, Brantley, Nicolas, Grayson, Patience, Theodore, Naomi, Brylee, Adelynn, and Nova; as well has her niece, Mickey Lynn (Bill).
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 21, 2026, at 2:00pm at Center Christian Church, (7168 Garringer-Edgefield Rd, Jeffersonville).
