Dora Mary Wilson, age 92 of Dayton, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, February 24, 2016. She was born August 13, 1923 in Wellsville, Ohio, the daughter of late Owen Calloway and Mildred Carey.
Dora was a kind, generous, quiet and loving person. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, photography, reading her newspaper with a cup of coffee, to keep up with current events, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her courage when facing adversity.
She was recruited to come to Dayton to work at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a Clerk-Typist in the 1940's, where she met Walter Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Florence, Thomas and Owen. She was married to, and widowed by Walter Martin, and Jack Wilson.
Dora leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Penny (Gerald) Black, and son, Willis Wilson; grandchildren, Ryanne (Michael) Shavers, Aaron Walton and Betina Walton; great grandchildren, Olivia Shavers, Allison Shavers, and Adriel Mitchell; and a host of friends and neighbors that truly loved her.
