It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dora Elizabeth Jones-Hardrick, who left this world peacefully on February 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 29, 1942, in Metter, Georgia, Dora graced the lives of many with her vibrant spirit and warm-hearted personality.

A proud graduate of Roosevelt High School, Dora's thirst for knowledge led her to pursue further education at Sinclair Community College. Her career spanned a notable tenure at General Motors, transitioning into a heartwarming role in home health care after her retirement, where she continued her mission of caring for others.

Dora was more than a mother; she was known as the best mom in the world—a title she wore with grace and honor. Her husband, James Hardrick, Her sons, Theodore Lewis and Thomas Jones, carry forward her legacy of kindness and love, alongside her cherished grandchildren: Julian Taiwo, Ryan (Tasha) Houston, Bryan (Trista) Houston, Alexius Jones, Brianna Jones, Jaden LeBlanc, Jordan LeBlanc, Kawanna Lewis, and Blake Millerton, along with several great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She also leaves behind cherished sisters, Sarah Posley and Dora Watkins, her brother, LaVictor Parrish, her best friend, Joyce Roberts, who, along with a host of other family members and close friends, will hold her memory in their hearts forever.

Her unwavering faith was central to her life. Dora was a faithful member of the recovery program and attended Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Her commitment to God reflected in her charitable nature, always seeking to lift others through her acts of kindness and support.

Dora’s vibrant personality made her the life of the party. She was a people person who thrived on family gatherings and friendships, where her loveable charm captivated everyone around her. A woman of candor, she never hesitated to speak her mind, her charismatic spirit shining brightly in every interaction. She found joy in simpler pleasures, whether it was shopping, dining out, gardening, or playing card games. Her artistic side blossomed through her passion for painting ceramics, adding another layer to her rich tapestry of interests.

Though she is preceded in death by her father, Artis Parrish; her mother, Lettie Mae Jackson; her daughter, Rhonda Marie Lewis-Houston; and her brothers, James Parrish and Willie Parrish, Dora’s spirit will continue to resonate in the lives she touched and the love she shared. In our memories, she shall remain a beacon of warmth, laughter, and unwavering faith.
