Don Willis, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, at the age of 82 in Dayton, Ohio. Born on July 13, 1942, in Springfield, Ohio, Don was a beacon of joy and laughter.
Don dedicated 30 years of his life to the Delco Moraine General Motors Plant, where he was well-regarded for his hard work and commitment on the assembly line.
He had a vibrant personality and keen sense of humor. Don had an innate ability to bring joy to those around him with his captivating stories and good-natured jokes. Beneath his tough exterior lay a soft-hearted man with a kind spirit, always ready to offer support to friends and family alike.
In his leisure time, Don found great joy in riding his beloved Harley motorcycle and spending quiet, peaceful moments fishing. He was an avid flea market enthusiast, where he enjoyed wheeling and dealing with his buddies. Don's compassion extended to animals, especially his cherished dogs, which brought him much happiness throughout his life.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Charlotte Willis; his son, Donald "Donnie" (Kim) Willis; step-son, Russell Fain; step-daughter, Amy (Larry) Gerber; grandchildren Brandon (Annmae) Willis, Destany, Mark (Haley Jo) Gibson, Nathan (Rachel) Barr, and Josh Barr; many great-grandchildren; and great-nephews. Don also shared special bonds with his step-grandson, Ted Rowdy Gerber, and his nephew Dale (Deborah) Querry; along with his niece Angie McCoy, and great-niece Shannon (Nash) Webb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Ada Willis; daughters Debbie Barr and Connie Gibson; sister Mary Querry; and brother-in-law Sonny Panchot.
Per Don's request no services will be held.
Don will be deeply missed by those who loved him. His legacy of laughter, love, and compassion will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
