Donald T. Hess Sr.

Donald “Don’ Hess, 94, sadly left our world on May 26, 2025. He and his wife of 70 years, Patricia Hess resided in West Milton Ohio. Donald was a graduate of Chaminade Julienne High School. He served his country in the Navy. Donald worked at Harris Thomas Drop Forge for 25 years before retiring. Donald and Patricia had 5 children. Donald coached little league baseball and CYO football. They were active in their local Catholic church. People would often find Donald and his wife camping and fishing and just enjoying life on a boat. He enjoyed woodworking of any kind leaving many of his projects for his family to enjoy. Donald enjoyed the sounds of the legendary Patsy Cline.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents: Edward & Inez Hess, Brother: Edward Hess (Korean War)

Donald leaves behind his wife: Patricia Hess, 1 brother: Johnny (Linda) Hess, 5 children: Michael Thompson, Madonna (Michael) Brooks, Shawn Hess, Donald Hess and Edward (Rose) Hess. 7 Grandchildren: Michelle (Matt) Johnson, Scott (Heather) Hess, James Brooks, Rachel Brooks, Casey Hess, Jeremy Garrison, Amanda (William) Campos, 1 nephew, 2 great nephews, 14 great grandchildren and 10 great -great grandchildren.

Family and Friends will gather for remembrance on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 4-5pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 5pm with Father Stevens officiating.
