Donald R. Avery Sr., age 82 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015.
He was born April 22, 1933 in Seventy-Six Falls, KY and was the son of Laura and John Avery.
He was a successful draftsman and avid sports fan. He was survived by his son; Donald, Jr; daughter-in-law, Michelle; granddaughter, Emma; and sisters Mary E. and Shirley L.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura J; two brothers, James H and John H; and one sister, Zula M.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 4-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3910 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The memorial service will follow at 6pm.
