Donald N. "Rick" Metz, age 72 of Huber Heights, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 7, 2018. He was born April 5, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Jack Metz and Beverly Riggs.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Kenny Walling.
Rick was retired as a truck driver from Rim and Wheel Service. He was an avid racing fan.
Rick is survived by his son, Michael (Holly) Metz; daughter, Vicki (Timothy) Rose; sister, Angela Walling; former wife and dear friend, Deborah Metz; grandchildren, Timmy (Abby) Rose, Ashley Rose (Jason), Jonathan Wethington and Jacob Metz; great grandchildren, William and Juliana. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to his hospice nurses, Tracy and Jenny. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of Kettering.
