Donald Ray Jenkins Jr., age 62, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away due to natural causes on February 18, 2026. Born March 27, 1963, right here in Dayton, Ohio.
Don is survived by his children: daughter Nicole Franklin— her husband Kaylor—daughter Tiffany McIntosh and her husband Matthew, and son Brad Jenkins with his wife Bethany. Grandbabies: Doniven McIntosh, Dominik McIntosh, Isaiah Jenkins, Cameron Franklin, Chloe Franklin, Leon Jenkins, and Jaslynn Jenkins. Plus a whole mess of other kinfolk who'll miss his smart mouth and that laugh that shook the porch.
Don served proud in the United States Army—yes ma'am, he did.
He liked tinkerin' in the garage with busted-up cars, catchin' catfish when the river was quiet, and grillin' ribs while drinkin' a cold beer and singin' along to his music. Worked 35 years straight as a welder, bendin' steel and burnin' sparks till he retired—proud of every callus he earned.
Graveside service with military honors: 2 o'clock sharp, Monday, March 2, 2026, Dayton National Cemetery—4400 West Third Street.
Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel—4104 Needmore Road, Dayton—handles it all.
