Donald W. Haun

Donald W. Haun went to be with his Lord and Savior in the early morning of August 26, 2026, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on April 6, 1941, in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Don built a long career in logistics. He served as a terminal manager for a logistics company for many years, and later went on to establish his own company, Center Logistics. His work reflected both experience and determination, and he took pride in the path he created for himself.

Outside of work, Don enjoyed making connections through his membership in the Miami Valley Traffic club. In recent years, he enjoyed attending the "Old Timers" luncheons. Don also cherished attending his granddaughter's soccer games and socializing with other fans. In his younger days, Don was a small airplane pilot, an interest that spoke to his adventurous spirit. He will be remembered for the way he made others feel. Don was jovial, funny, and pleasant to be around. His presence brought warmth and ease to those who knew him. 

He is survived by his daughter, Lori Bridges (Chris); his first wife, Sharon Haun; his foster siblings, Tracy Phelps and Jack Abt; stepson, Steve House; stepdaughter, Laura Lee; and many grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Darla Haun; his daughter, Amy Haun; granddaughter, Candice Haun; and his parents, Mary and Otis Abt.

He will be remembered with love by his family and friends. His life will continue to be reflected in the stories and memories he leaves behind.

Services will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 at 1:00 PM at David's Cemetery in the Community Mausoleum Chapel located at 4600 Mad River Road, Kettering, Ohio 45429. Immediately following the service, Don's ashes will be scattered in the scattering garden.
