Donald R. Goney

Donald R. Goney, age 71, of Dayton, passed away March 12, 2024. He was born February 3, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio. Don was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Goney; parents: Burton Goney and Mary & Charlie Overbey; sister, T.J. Watkins; and brothers: Tom Goney, Jim Goney and Mike Overbey.

Don is survived by his wife of 53 years, Darlene Goney; children: April Goney and Gabriel Goney; grandchildren: Billy, Paige, Mallorie, Gabby, Lexi and Aubrey; great-grandson, Waylen; sister, Tammy Brackney (Fred); mother-in-law, Mary E. Riffell; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Don graduated from Franklin Monroe High School, Class of 1971. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, watching old westerns unless Nascar was on, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
