Donald L. Smith, Sr., age 73 of New Carlisle, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015. He was born December 26, 1941 in Greene County, OH to the late Roy Smith and Rosella Kelly. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Smith and sister, Mary Ellen Hoaglan.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Smith; sisters, Lillian (Mel) Balford and Ruth (Jay) Vanderpool; children, Deion (Lisa) Smith, Treva Cole, Teresa Doty, Tonya (Kevin) Frank, Donald L. Smith, Jr., Richard (Kathleen) Tames, Sharlyn Walker, Karilyn Tames, Justin Smith and Brandon Smith; 38 grandchildren; 50 + great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
