Donald "Don" Haendel

Donald "Don" E. Haendel, age 79 of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 18, 2026. He was born October 27, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio. The son of the late Bud and Blanche (Pendergrass) Haendel.

Don was a loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved to work on cars, loved dogs, and walking trails with his wife and their furbabies. He was a Journeymen Electrician who was always willing to go above and beyond to work on anything for anyone at anytime. Don was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #82 and the American Legion. Don will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Ron Haendel.

Don is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jill Haendel; brother, Tom (Marcell) Haendel; sister-in-law, Sherry (Ken) Betche; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; best friends, Duane Hallstein and Chip Lee; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date at the convenience of the family.
