Donald Couch, age 72, of Riverside, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Vicco (Hazard), Kentucky on October 22, 1952, to the late Asbel, Jr. and Ruby Couch.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his siblings Ronald L. Couch, Marsha Cantrell, Asbel C. “Bo” Couch III, and Steven W. Couch.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Christianna Couch; his children: Donald (Angie) Couch Jr., bonus daughter, Roni (Lon) Sayer, Darren (Sherry) Couch, Duke (Sarah) Couch, and adopted son, Steven Stonerock; grandchildren: Daniel (Olivia), Autumn, Raven, Raina, Noah, Ethan, Devin, Kaden, Jaxson, Alicia, Coleson, Rusty (Lillian) and Ryan (Dana); great-grandchildren: Tacarri and Carter; and siblings: Connie (Steve), Kathy (John), Mary June (David), and Donna. He is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who cherished him deeply.
Donald worked as a Tool and Die Maker (Engineer) for over 50 years, a master craftsman who could build, fix, or restore just about anything. His mind was as sharp as his hands were steady, and he was always ready to lend his skills to anyone in need. Beyond his trade, Donald’s true life’s work was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather - the kind of man whose presence made you feel safe, loved, and heard.
Known for his incredible storytelling, Donald could make anyone laugh and had a gift for turning ordinary moments into lasting memories. His favorite holiday was Christmas, when he brought joy and magic to his family by making Santa come alive year after year. To his loved ones, he was not just a provider or a teacher - he was a symbol of strength, humor, and unconditional love.
Donald’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the laughter he inspired, and the love he poured into every person he met. He will be remembered always as the man who could do or fix anything, but more importantly, as the man who loved his family beyond measure.
