Donald J. "Don" Bussinger, age 51, passed away December 29, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton with his loving family at his side following a courageous battle with cancer.
Don was born March 19, 1965 to the late Charles and Adlena Bussinger. He was also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Jeff Rush and Todd Gohmann.
He is survived by his 3 children, Jillian (Dustin) Petersime, Melanie (Travis) Bolanger, and Donny Bussinger and their mother, Tania Menger. Also surviving are his 3 grandchildren, Nathan and Maci Bolanger and Presley Petersime, his brother, Joe, his sisters, Ann Rush (Jim Barrett), Barb Gohmann, Janet Davis (Pam Hall), Nancy (Paul) Nash, Carol (Leo) Janson, Joni (Shawn) Amara, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends as well as his beloved canine, "Bronson".
Don graduated from Chaminade-Julienne H.S. in 1983. He retired in 2005 from Sheet Metal Local 24. Don was a loving father and a generous humble man. He will be missed dearly.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). Services will follow at 6pm with family and friends gathering afterwards. Final disposition will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton (1661 Nicholas Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45417).
