Dianne Joy Lindsey, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, in Beavercreek, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 23, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio, to Robert and Ann Willin. Dianne’s journey through life was filled with warmth, love, and an unwavering spirit that left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
A proud graduate of Julienne High School in 1959, Dianne exhibited a strong dedication to her education, furthering her studies at Miami-Jacob Business College. While her career path included roles at Lofinos Grocery Store and Wheelock Dental Lab in Beavercreek, as well as Gayfers Department Store and Sports Athletic Unlimited in Biloxi, Mississippi, her most treasured role was that of a devoted stay-at-home mom and grandma. Dianne poured her heart into nurturing her daughters, Lisa Maxwell and Lori Lindsey, and she found immense joy in being a grandmother to her granddaughter, Lyndsey Gore, and great-grandson, Jack Gore, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Known for her ever-present smile and positive outlook, Dianne had a remarkable ability to brighten any room with her presence. Her personality was a testament to her loving nature – she embraced happiness and shared it with those around her. She spent countless hours tending to her garden, knowing every plant in her yard by name. Dianne’s love for baking and cooking, along with her talent for crocheting beautiful blankets for weddings and babies, reflected her nurturing spirit. She built a pond herself, which became a serene haven where she delighted in nature while caring for her beloved cats, often taking in strays and giving them a warm home.
Throughout her life, Dianne cherished her family and friends deeply. Her late husband, Floyd Lindsey, had a profound impact on her life, and she remembered him fondly. She also held dear the memories of her brother, Ronald Willin, her lifelong best friend, Nancy Gerdes, and her supportive parents. The bonds she shared with numerous extended family members and friends were a testament to the love and compassion she embodied.
Dianne’s contributions to her family were immeasurable, and her proudest accomplishments were those that revolved around them. Her legacy will live on through her daughters, granddaughter, and great-grandson, as well as in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on March 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM, both held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery.
