Diannah E. (Bell) Doughman (nee, Smith) age 72 of Dayton, passed away on Feb. 20, 2021. She was born on April 23, 1948 in Dayton to the late James and Rhebia (McNeeley) Smith. In addition to her parents, Diannah was preceded in death by her husband, George Doughman and brother, Edwin Lively.
She is survived by her son, James (Dena) Bell, Jr.; daughter, Dawn (Joe) Gayda; grandchildren, Drew (Jesse), Seth, Chloe, Joey, Jenni; special friend, John Slacker; brother, James (Kay) Smith, Jr.; sister-in-law, Carol Lively; step-son, Ronald (Erinn) Doughman and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Diannah was an active member of the American Legion Post 598 in Kettering. She loved singing karaoke. Diannah worked and retired from WPAFB civil service after over 19 years of service. She graduated from Fairmont East High School Class of 1966 and resided in Kettering, Centerville and Dayton
Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, 45459) where a funeral service will begin at 11 AM with Pastor Kirk Lithander officiating. Interment will follow at David's Cemetery. "The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places."
