Diana May (Gray) Leedy, age 69 of Clayton, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Born May 10, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of James and Carol Gray.
Diana attended Colonel White High School and worked for many years in retail management at Gold Circles Stores and Wal-Mart. Diana was an accomplished pianist, playing that instrument by ear. Diana was a former member of Way of the Cross Church of God where she played piano during many services. Before her passing, Diana was the matriarch at Leedy's of Clayton where all the customers called her "mom".
Diana was preceded in death by her parents: James and Carol Gray; her sister, Linda Shaw; and special mother-in- law, Velty Leedy. She is survived by three sons: Timothy N. Leedy and his wife Billie, James P.S. Leedy and his fiancé Jessy Wright and Tommy L. Leedy and his wife Lisa; two sisters: Lydia (Bob) Wells of Huber Heights, Ohio and Paula (Marvin) Holbrook of Beavercreek, Ohio; one brother, James (Carolyn) Gray of Texarkana, AR and one brother- in-law, John Shaw of Dayton. Diana leaves to cherish her memory six grandchildren: David Leedy, Morgan Wheeler, Kaylah Greene, Sophia Campbell, Taylor Leedy and Clara Leedy. Memories of Diana's kindness and warm smile will burn in the hearts and memories of all who knew her.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 - 1:30 pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. To send a special message to the family, please click on Share Memories.
