Dewi M. Malli, born on February 21, 1952 in Manado, Indonesia. She passed away peacefully in Huber Heights, Ohio, on March 26, 2026 at the age of 74. The daughter of the late Muh Malli and Netty Matheos. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Dewi, in her younger years she enjoyed participating in beauty contests and modeling sessions. During that time she also obtained an associates degree at an Indonesian Academy for Secretarial and Management Studies. Following her studies she became a general secretary at a regional police office. While serving in that role she met her husband. She had a passion for cooking and had her own catering business for 15 years. She became a Christian after her husband passed away, and participated in many Evangelistic outreaches throughout Indonesia and Malaysia. She also served as one of the partners of TYM Ministry Makassar.
Dewi had a great love for her family, shopping, and always desired to be fashionable. She held high standards for friends, family and people that she loved. She would at times tell someone the honest truth about how she felt but she always did it out of love and compassion. She was always hospitable and wanted to serve people with her best of her cooking, time, energy and whichever means possible. She spent the last few years of her life pouring into her grandchildren. She taught them how to pray and worship.
In addition to her parents, Dewi was preceded in death by her husband, Soegyadi Notodihardjo; children, Nora Lubis and Seno Adi Nugroho; siblings, Slamet Malli and Hendrik Akir Malli;
She is survived by her children, Doti Mardotillah Basuseno, Novika (Colin) Solis, Kesit Agung Ananto (Jacqueline Nora Sanger); grandchildren, Eunike Celica Kusumawardhani Basuseno, Altessa Wahyuni Larasti Oktavia Basuseno, Ayoub Alexandr Ananto, Gracelynne Jeanette Solis, Damian Vincent, and baby Solis on the way; great granddaughter, Brielle Rafeilla Katriel Rantung; siblings, Vonny Malli, Sumarni Etje Malli, Siaga Matayang Malli, Harjani Malli, Anita Theresia Manua, and Arthur Thiffany Manua; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Dewi Malli leaves behind a legacy marked by hard work, commitment, integrity, an unwavering spirit, and love. Dewi will be greatly missed and her memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10am with the pastors of Huber Heights First Baptist Church officiating.
