Deon Dawson Booze, age 53, of Trotwood, Ohio, passed away on October 2, 2025. Born to Ernestine Booze and Kenneth Booze, Deon lived a full and memorable life surrounded by family and friends. He attended Trotwood-Madison High School, where he was proud to be a member of the school’s wrestling team.
From a young age, Deon was deeply rooted in his faith. He was baptized at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, where he began his spiritual journey and grew in his relationship with Christ.
Deon dedicated much of his life to providing for his family and worked diligently as a machine operator, in delivery services, and most recently was affectionately known as your neighborhood “Hood Uber” driver. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and brought laughter wherever he went.
A man of many passions, Deon loved watching football, trying his luck at the casino, and enjoying meals at Golden Corral. A true sports fan, he faithfully cheered for the Dallas Cowboys, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Detroit Pistons. His presence was felt through his humor, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, LaTonya M. Booze; grandparents Ada (Brucie) Conquest and Robert (Carrie) Booze.
Deon is survived by his parents, Ernestine Booze, Kenneth Booze (Carolyn), and his special friend, Leo Blackshear. He is also survived by his siblings, Deron Booze (Tina) and KenEsha Booze.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Marte’ S. Booze, Deon A. Booze, Destiny K. Booze, Brielle A. Booze, and bonus son Damon E. Davenport Jr.
Grandchildren: Golden A. Jones, Keon D. Booze, Hailey A. Jones, Ja’Rae A. Cotton, Sefu N. Rashid, and bonus grandson Zedekiah M. Davenport, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Deon will be remembered for his warm laughter, his deep love for his daughters and family, and the light he brought into every room. His presence was a gift, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 11am to 12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Boulevard, Kettering, Ohio 45439. A funeral service will begin at 12pm also at the funeral home.
