Delta June Berry, 78, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center in Kettering, Ohio.
Born September 16, 1939 in Hahira, GA to the late Robert and Louise Wilkinson, Mrs. Berry was full of life and loved to be around people and enjoy their company. In her later years, she battled dementia but now she would like everyone to know that she has moved to a place where there are no more sicknesses, aches or pains and she is free to rejoice forever. Her new home comes with a huge bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Delta would like everyone to know her new residence has plenty of space and rooms for everyone. So, she is looking forward to seeing everyone again, adding to the reunion of family and friends. But please don't rush. Delta instantly became very patient and can wait until you arrive. Remember though, reservations are required. Music, singing, laughter, dancing, socializing and praising Jesus are just a few of her new activities. As you can see, she will be busy from this point forward, just as she's always desired.
Delta is survived by sons Gerald and his wife, Donna, of Thompson's Station, TN; Alfred and his wife, Joyce, of Joppa, IL; Jeffrey and his wife, Kim, of Helena, AL; Michael and his wife, Tammy, of Callahan, FL; and daughter Tanya and her husband, Jeff, of Jacksonville, FL. Also, she is survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and her sister, Linda Bowen and her husband, Freddie, of Yulee, FL.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Pelham's Annex located at
2882 Pelham Pkwy., Pelham, AL 35124.
