Della Frances Strong, born on March 3, 1933, in Perry County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2025. She lived a life marked by love and dedication as a wonderful wife and mother, and her spirit will be dearly missed by all knew her.
Della was a proud graduate of Vicco High School. Throughout her life, she embodied an infectious energy that radiated warmth to everyone she encountered. Standing at just 4 feet 9 inches tall, she was a true fireball, always laughing and filled with a zest for life. Her outgoing personality made her a friend to many; she never knew a stranger.
Della found joy and fulfillment in her role as a homemaker. She loved to attend church as a devoted member of the Miamisburg Assembly of God, where her faith played a central role in her life. In addition to her passion for nurturing her family, she found pleasure in gardening and had a deep love for animals, reflecting her kind-hearted nature.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Karen Speer, and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry forward the cherished memories of their time with her. Della was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kash Strong, as well as seven siblings, whose absence she felt deeply.
Della leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, guiding them with the same warmth and energy she shared throughout her remarkable life.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 12 pm to 1 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, OH 45459). Funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Following services, Della will be laid to rest in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
