Debra Kay Siler, affectionately known as "Debbie," was born on December 3, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, and passed away peacefully in her hometown on January 15, 2026. She lived a life that was nothing short of vibrant, marked by her bold and feisty spirit, as well as her deep kindness and passion for all things good.
Debbie graduated from Fairmont High School, and she dedicated much of her career to serving on the board of MRDD at Calumet. Her unwavering commitment to individuals with special needs was one of her proudest accomplishments, showcasing her remarkable ability to touch the lives of others through her work.
Debbie's interests were as colorful as her personality; she loved engaging in spirited political debates, cultivating her garden, and enjoying the latest episodes of General Hospital. Most cherished were the moments spent with her family and friends around the grill during cookouts, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ron Calloway; her son, Shane Siler; her daughter, Scirocco "Rockie" Slaton; her beloved grandchildren, Taylor, Andrew, and Jace; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Luke, SJ, and Weston. She is also survived by her brother, Gary Siler, and longtime friend, Sherri Dano, along with a host of family and friends who admired her spirit and will miss her dearly.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lois Siler; her brother, Larry Siler; and her grandson, Austin Siler. As we remember her today, we celebrate a woman whose life was filled with love, laughter, and dedication to her community. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
