Debra Hilgeford

Debra Lynn Hilgeford, age 69 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026. She was born October 7, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Schmitz.

Debra was a proud graduate of Sinclair's Nursing Program, dedicating her life to caring for others. Her family was the light of her life, and she found immense joy in their company. Debra's selfless spirit shone brightly as she took on the role of caretaker for nearly everyone in her life, always putting their needs before her own.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Jeremy (Stephanie) Hilgeford; her daughter, Kelli Hoke; and her beloved grandchildren: Mikayla, Kaitlynn, Rebecca, Cameron, Joshua, and Brooke. Debra was also the proud great-grandmother of Julius and Sabrina. She is survived by her brothers, Robert (Debbie) Schmitz and Gary (Renee) Schmitz; her sisters, Cheryl Penney, Sandy Collins, and Cindy (Randy) Boschert; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Debra was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Hilgeford, as well as her beloved daughter, Sara Elizabeth Hilgeford, and her infant twin sons, James and Eric Hilgeford.

Debra will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
