Debra "Debbie" Shanahan

Debra "Debbie" Shanahan, age 75 of Huber Heights, Ohio went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2025. She was born September 9, 1949 in Logan, West Virginia daughter of the late Gerald and Mildred Wells.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Terrence Shanahan; and brothers, Roger Kent Wells and Gerald Ray Wells.

Debbie was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was one of the founding and faithful member of Independent Gospel Fellowship Church for many years. Debbie had a passion for cooking, reading, and traveling. Her pride and joy was her family and she will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She is survived by her children, Tina Mizin, Mike (Naomi) Shanahan, and Heather (Kevin) Seeley; grandchildren, John, Brett, Ryan, Megan M., David (Sara), Megan G. (Rob), and Michael; great grandchildren, Caleb, Jaxon, Brody, Allie, Lucas, A.J., and Nathaniel; brother, Donald (Ana) Leake; sister-in-law, Phyllis Kerry; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 9:30am-10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 10:30am with son-in-law, Kevin officiating. Burial to follow at New Carlisle Cemetery.
