David Lynn Spitler

David Lynn Spitler, age 78 of Centerville, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024. He was born February 22, 1946 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of the late Kenneth E. and Roberta W. Spitler. David graduated from West Alexandria High School in 1964. He had a long career as a Building and Grounds Supervisor. David was a man of strong faith and was a member of Living Water Lutheran Church in Centerville. David enjoyed woodworking and would make furniture for his home in his free time and he even built a rocking horse for his grandkids. He had a love for antique tractors and he enjoyed working on and driving his Farmall Model C. David loved being outdoors and enjoyed boating and fishing with his wife (who always caught more). He was generous with his mechanical skills and home improvement knowledge and helped many friends and family with their own projects. What made him happiest was being a Papaw to his two grandkids. He will be missed by all who knew him.

David is survived by his wife, Clara M. Spitler; son, Kenneth Douglas "Doug" (Cynthia) Spitler; sister, Susan J. Spitler; grandson, Joseph D. Spitler; granddaughter, Sarah N. Spitler; and numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Parents.
