David R. Ramsey Jr., born August 4, 1953, passed away on November 4, 2026.
David will be remembered as a man of faith, creativity, and steady dedication. During his working years, he served in California with the Department of Natural Resources as a Forest Ranger. He also was in charge of maintenance and security at The Pines of Shiloh, where his dependable presence and care were part of daily life.
He found joy in many simple and meaningful pursuits. David loved to draw and to carve things out of wood, expressing both patience and imagination through his hands. He enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains and attending Dayton Dragons games. Music also held an important place in his life, and he enjoyed singing in the choir at Target and Cornerstone Churches as well as playing the harmonica. Above all, David was very strong in his faith and loved sharing his faith with others, a devotion that shaped the way he lived and the way he connected with people around him.
David is survived by his friends Jim and Tina, and by his extended family at The Pines of Shiloh. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, family members, and friends who will remember him with affection and gratitude.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Arnetta Ramsey; his brothers, Donald Ramsey and Robert Leonard; and his special aunt, Virginia Weaver.
Those who knew David will remember a man who served faithfully, created joyfully, and shared his beliefs generously. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
