David Price, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, family member, and friend. Although David’s passing was unexpected, the memories he leaves behind and the love he shared with those around him will continue to live on in the hearts of all who know him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Edward J. Price; his mother, Marsha Smith; his stepfather, Cecil Smith; and his brother, Rick Edwards. Though they are no longer here with us, we find comfort in remembering the love and memories they shared and in imagining David reunited with his loved ones who passed before him.
David leaves behind his two loving sons, Joshua (Grace) Priser and Jacob (Maraea) Anatole, along with his beautiful grandson, who brought another special kind of love and joy into his life. He is also survived by his sister, Mary (Eric) Kern and brother, Charlie (Barb) Taylor, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
David had a special talent for creating beautiful homes. Through his work in home remodeling, he could take a space and transform it into something wonderful. He was good at what he did, and his work reflected his abilities, creativity, and pride in making things better. The homes he helped create will stand as reminders of the talent and hard work he shared with others.
David also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially watching his favorite sports teams. Whether cheering for the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cincinnati Reds, or Ohio State football, he enjoyed following the games and supporting the teams he loved. These familiar traditions were part of who David was and are memories that those closest to him will continue to cherish.
But above all, David loved his family and friends. He had a heart for the people he cared about, and if you were one of those people, you knew that he would do whatever he could to help you. He was the kind of person who showed his love through his actions. He was there for the people who mattered to him, and he wanted the best for those he loved.
Though his time here ended far too soon, David’s story does not end with his passing. It continues through his sons, his grandson, his sister, his extended family, his friends, and everyone who carries a memory of him in their heart.
Today, we say goodbye to David, but we will never forget him. We will remember his talent, his love for sports, his willingness to help others, and, most importantly, the love he had for his family and friends.
There will be a graveside service at 2:00pm on Monday, November 2, 2026 at Cedar Hill Cemetery (8445 Wolf Creek Pike Dayton, OH).
