David J. Moden

August 7, 1996 — June 16, 2025

Miamisburg

David J. Moden, a spirited soul born on August 7, 1996, in Dayton, Ohio, left this world too soon on June 16, 2025, in Miamisburg, Ohio. A beloved son, brother, and friend, David’s heart was as vast as his passions for BMX bikes and fast cars, particularly his cherished Mustang that echoed his vivacious spirit.

A proud graduate of Vandalia Butler High School, class of 2015, David carried the lessons of his education into the world with grace and determination. His career at Allied Crawford Steel in Franklin, Ohio, showcased not only his strong work ethic but also his commitment to contributing to his community.

David is remembered fondly by his father, Greg (Natosha) Moden, and his mother, Monica (Joe) Kohn, who took great pride in his accomplishments and the joy he brought to their lives. He leaves behind his brothers, Gage Moden and Phillip (Mercedes) Moden, Sr., along with his cherished nephew, Phillip Moden Jr., who will miss their cherished moments together.

David’s legacy will be upheld by his loving family: his maternal grandparents, Kenneth Frank and Kimberly Smith, and his paternal grandfather, Phillip G. Moden. He is also survived by his uncle Chris Moden and aunt Tiffany Plickard, along with his uncle Andrew Frank. Each of these relationships enriched his life, and they will forever hold David in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his beloved paternal grandmother, Rebecca Moden.

David will be deeply missed by all who knew him, as his bright light and adventurous spirit touched the lives of everyone around him. His memories will live on in the stories shared among family and friends, reminding them of the joy he brought and the gratitude they feel for having shared this journey with him.
