David L. Lemons, born on October 14, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, in Kettering, Ohio. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, David's life was a tapestry woven with the values of generosity, kindness, and an everlasting passion for his family.

David graduated from Patterson Co-Op, which laid the foundation for a successful career. Early in his working life, he was employed at Chapel Electric before taking the bold step to become a business owner. He purchased Dayton Signs, a venture he cherished until his retirement, embodying the spirit of hard work and dedication.

Throughout his life, David was known for his gleaming smile and his welcoming nature; he never met a stranger, whether he was in his hometown or miles away. This warmth endeared him to everyone he encountered, bringing friends and family together in joyous moments. His generosity knew no bounds, as he often made sacrifices for the benefit of his loved ones, ensuring they were always well taken care of.

David was not only a devoted family man, but he also had passions that brought him immense joy. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and loved the thrill of NASCAR. His heart swelled with pride while watching car racing, especially when it involved his beloved son and grandson.

Above all, David treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy, and he poured his love into each of them. He fondly reminisced about taking trips and cruises with his wife, Rhonda, deepening their bond while creating lifelong memories.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Rhonda Lemons; his daughter Shannon (Joseph "Allan") Boyer and son, Noah (Jennifer) Lemons; his cherished grandchildren Brittany (Darnell), Riley (Nathaniel), Brantley (Malia), Luke (Cara), and Emma; his great granddaughters Aria, Autumn, Harper and two great grandsons and one great granddaughter on the way; his brother Larry (Jackie) Lemons; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents Chester and Caroline Lemons, his brothers Allan and Gary Lemons, and his great grandchildren Fallon and Imani.

David L. Lemons leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be deeply missed but forever cherished. As we fondly remember his bright smile, compassionate heart, and unwavering support, we celebrate a life well-lived and a spirit that touched so many.
