David Michael "Mike" Kelly, age 66, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born on July 28, 1959 in Xenia, (Greene County) Ohio, the son of the late David and Georgia (Powers) Kelly.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Nancy.
Michael is survived by his longtime partner, Kathryn; sons, Ryan and Joshua; daughter, Victoria; stepchildren, Cassi and Marcus; and 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Pamela (Philip) Miller and Rhonda (Rick) Joyce; plus nieces, Christy and Stacey; nephews, Timothy and Jason; and several great nieces and nephews.
Michael spent 16 years in the U.S. Navy, he was stationed on the escort ship, USS R.K. Turner, retiring in 1996. After his military service, he worked for approximately 14 years as a Facility Engineer at North Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas, receiving an “Outstanding Employee” award during his time there. Also during this time, Michael received a liver transplant in February 2005. He pulled through that in textbook fashion, living over 20 more years of life. From Texas, he moved back to his hometown of Beavercreek and back into the home he grew up in, to assist his sister in caring for his mother.
In his spare time, Michael enjoyed playing his guitar and hanging out with his close family and friends, going to family gatherings, which were often; and going to Renaissance Fairs, dressing the part of course. He was also an avid Harley Davidson rider, and enjoyed cruising the roads with his cousin, Tony and others as often as his health allowed, as well as participating in the annual Bike Rally Fun Runs to raise money for charity, in both Dayton and Texas.
