David L. Jones, Sr.

David L. Jones, Sr., age 67 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2017 at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born October 10, 1949 in Tampa, FL to the late Cecil Jones and Ruby L. (Wells) Jones. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary Fambro.
He is survived by his son, David L. (Carol) Jones, Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth L. (Jones) Murrell; grandchildren, Ashli Canada, David C. Jones and Nakeshia Barry; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Charles L. (Cecilia) Jones, Melvin E. Jones, Cecil (Triphinia) Jones, George G. Jones III, George D. (Anita) Sturdivant and Sonja L. Sturdivant; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
David fulfilled his life loving his family and close friends. He was an avid sportsman, having played football, basketball and tennis. David worked for AT&T as a linesman and for Frigidaire.
