David Lee "Dave" Creekmur

David Lee "Dave" Creekmur, age 81, of Beavercreek, passed away at home on May 22, 2026. Dave was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 24, 1944 to the late Orrel Creekmur and Dorothy Lovejoy.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Herschel Lovejoy.

He is survived by loving wife of 60 years, Sandra Creekmur; daughter, Pamela (John) Hartshorne, Kathy (Mark) Taylor and Jen Cohn; sons, Don (Tammy) Creekmur, Tim (Sara) Creekmur and Dan (Amy) Creekmur; grandchildren, Alec (Kelly), Justin (Carolina), Erin (Turner), Cori (Caleb), Jack (Kiara), Ami, Sara, Nicholas, Nathanael, Ali, Lexi (Thomas), Maya, Kira, Sam, Grace and Annie; great-grandchildren, Vayda, Vera, Violet, Sebastian, Jessa, Ellie, Addie, Evelyn and Samuel; as well as his brother, Bob (Mary Lou) Creekmur.

Dave attended Patterson Co-Op High School, Class of 1963. He began at Delco Products at age 16 while in high school, working through undergrad at the University of Cincinnati and his masters at the University of Dayton, retiring after 40 years, having held electrical engineering and senior system analyst positions.

Dave loved traveling with family, camping for weeks at a time across the country and spending every moment he could at Hilton Head. One of his most favorite memories was spending his 50th wedding anniversary at Hilton Head with his wife and family, including a private concert with Gregg Russell.

In his free time, he enjoyed going on bike rides and playing cards and board games. Dave wrote special poems for all of his family on their birthdays.

His greatest joy was being a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Donations may be made in Dave's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenias Rd, Beavercreek), where funeral services will be held at 2:00pm.
