David B. Smith

David B. Smith, passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 73. He was born on June 13, 1952, in Kettering, Ohio, where he spent most of his life.

David graduated from Kettering High School in 1970 and embarked on a journey of learning and achievement as he continued his education in college. He dedicated many years of his life to his career as an accountant until his retirement. In his free time, David loved to play poker. He was a history buff and enjoyed sharing facts with family and friends.

David is survived by his children, Katy (Theron) Knox, Cody Smith, and Cindy (Phil) Ohl; four grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deborah L. (Watts) Smith; parents, Fred B. Smith and Virginia A. (Lanfersiek) Smith; and brother, Doug Smith. 

A private service will be held by the family-services entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering.
