Brush, David A. "Dave", 35, loving husband, father, son and brother, of Troy, passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2016 at his residence.
He was born and raised in Piqua, Ohio and attended Piqua High School. After high school, Dave worked in concrete construction. From there he went into the plastics injection field. Most recently, Dave worked as a mechanic for a new start- up company, Independent Can Company where he was considered an excellent role model, leader and teacher.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, competitively so. Dave enjoyed camping with family and friends, and loved a BBQ and "a good cold beer". David had a way of making everyone feel at ease, making them laugh. His friends were like part of his family. Dave was always the life of the party and had a great sense of humor. He made everything he did fun. David loved his family and was very protective of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Brush. David is survived by his wife, Kara; 16 month old daughter, Cecelia; step-daughter, Mady Prater; mother, Theresa Tipton; siblings, Janey Lawson, Bonnie (Mike) Gray, Joe (Lori) Brush, Julie Bates, Billy (Tena) Brush; nieces and nephews, Dustin, Bradley, Steven, Nathan, Ashley, Caleb, Connor, Coreena, Julian, Keaton, Maddox, Colsen, and Christopher, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation 5-7pm Tuesday April 5, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd with funeral service to follow at 7pm. Donations may be made to David's family.
