Danny Ray Williams, 73, entered his eternal rest July 24, 2025, after a long struggle with emphysema, COPD, and heart issues.
Danny was born October 26, 1951, in West Liberty, Kentucky to Raymond and Marie Williams who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Williams (Eric Gildow) and son, Adam Williams and granddaughter Kenzie Gildow. Sisters and brother Peggy Williams-Keith, Debbie Barnett, Pam Long and Rick Williams and his "brother" Mike Mays (Roxanne Mays) along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Danny spent his young years in the hills of West Liberty, Kentucky. After moving to Ohio, he graduated from Fairborn High School in 1969.
He was an accomplished musician playing in bands for many years with his cousin and best friend, Mike Mays. He was a founding member of many bands, most notably The Crosswind Band, playing many clubs, festivals, weddings and more. He retired from 7 Up Bottling Company in Dayton, Ohio.
If you knew Danny, you were either his family or a friend. He never failed to help anyone in need. He was always quick with a joke. He loved his old western shows and movies. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio on Saturday August 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm with a short funeral service to follow at 3:00 pm. The service will be officiated by his cousin Gary Easterling. As per his wishes he will be cremated and his ashes returned to his beloved hills of Kentucky.
