Danny Ray Stone, 66, passed away on June 3, 2026. Born on March 26, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio
Danny was preceded in death by his son, Danny Ray Stone Jr.; his brother, Wayne Stone and his parents George Robert and Celdren Stone.
He is survived by his children, Dana Stone, Tony (Alycia) Boeckman and Terry (Whitney) Hildebrand. His grandchildren; Ava, Brooke, Bryson, Devon, Ky’leigh, Terry, Jordan, Logan and Annabella. His best friend/companion, his dog, Guage.
His sisters, Doris Hill, his twin Brenda Kay (Bill) Masters and Christine (Dave) McVicar, his girlfriend for many years, Carleen and many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members, and friends who will miss him dearly. A special thank you to his uncle, Silas and Brother Hollie who visited and prayed with him during his illness.
The family would also like to thank Kristy Northern, for the love and compassion she showed Danny for the last two and a half years as his nurse. As well as the Hospice of Dayton staff, for the support they showed his family.
Danny was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend whose kindness, humor and love for family touched the lives of many. Danny was known for his warm heart, and the ability to make people laugh. He loved spending time with family, playing euchre, sharing stories, listening to Led Zeppelin, fishing and cracking jokes that could brighten anyone’s day.
He never met a stranger and had a gift for making others feel welcome and accepted. His compassionate nature and nonjudgmental spirit will be remembered by all who knew him. Although Danny faced health challenges for the last two and half years, he did so with strength and determination. He is at peace with the Lord.
Danny’s greatest joy was spent with those he loved. His laughter, kindness, and countless memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
A small service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 6:00pm at Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church, 2405 Harshman Road in Dayton, Ohio. Officiating will be Hollie Vanhoose and Silas Hoskins.
