Danny D. Hayes, 66, of Dayton, passed away February 16, 2017. Danny was born in Jellico, Tennessee on December 22, 1950 to the late William and Flonnie Hayes. Danny retired as a SMSGT in the United States Air Force after 25 years of service. He proudly served during the Vietnam War. In his free time he enjoyed playing guitar, singing and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his siblings, Homer Hayes, Bruce Hayes, Harold Hayes, Wanda Hayes, Mary Lou Hayes, Ronald Hayes, Cosetta Ferguson, and Ray Hayes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Donna Hayes; sons, William (Wendy) Hayes, David (Amanda) Hayes; daughter, Victoria (Jason) Engling; grandchildren, Miranda, Marissa, Ashley (Jordan), Danielle, Hailey, Lilly, Avery, Liam, Sean, Ava, Saida; great grandchild, Allie; brother, George (Barbara) Hayes; sisters, Faye Moore, Pearl (Ralph) Murphy; and several other relatives and special friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30pm on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Pine Knot Funeral Home, 140 E. Cal Hill Spur, Pine Knot, KY, 42635.
